HUMAN RESOURCES AND OPERATIONS LEAD

For almost 40 years the Alzheimer Society of Montreal has been offering interventions, care and support services with the objective of alleviating the social and personal consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. With a team of more than twenty permanent full-time employees and other healthcare specialists, the Society is looking for a Human Resources and Operations Lead to support its mission and growth. As a key member of the Society’s management team, the Human Resources and Operations Lead reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for developing and implementing the Human Resources strategies, policies and procedures aimed at building a strong and empowered team to address the growing need for services. The Human Resources and Operations Lead is also responsible for general administration activities and providing support to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:
• Human Resources
o Develop the Human Resources short- and long-term strategy and policies, with a focus on organizational development and recruitment.
o Establish various practices that support the building and adherence to the Society’s culture and values and ensure the sound management of human resources and the creation of a working environment that is conducive to the well-being and development of all employees
o Provide support and consulting to the management team in human resources maQers. • Administra;on and support to the Execu;ve Director o Develop and evolve opera;ons policies and procedures to ensure op;mal efficiency o Oversees the improvement of informa;on systems to ensure that the organiza;on is equipped to safely and adequately manage and preserve the integrity and confiden;ality of its data o Nego;ate contracts and manages supplier rela;onships, o Par;cipate ac;vely in strategic planning ini;a;ves, including budget planning and management o Work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and monitor organiza;onal goals, and share benchmarking and best prac;ces across departments that ;e into the Society’s strategic plan and annual budget. o Oversee the employees responsible for the Society’s recep;on and administra;ve services. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, as well as five (5) years experience in human resources and administra;on, preferably in the health care or related sectors. A Master’s degree is an advantage; • Fluency, both wriQen and oral, in French and English; • Ability to act as an agent of change capable of determining the issues and what is required to achieve the necessary results; • Demonstrated problem-solving and analy;cal skills; • Strong leadership, interpersonal rela;onships and communica;on skills; and At ease with general computer systems and with any soZware relevant to the posi;on. Profile: The candidate should be a team player, dynamic, determined to achieve his/her goals, as well as organized, and able to work both independently and under pressure.
