Simthetiq is looking for highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our dynamic and innovative team, to produce immersive training solutions based on virtual display technologies and game engine rendering platforms such as Unreal and Unity.Rooted in our long history based on our performance and innovation-driven mission, Simthetiq will support your growth within the organization with the training, mentorship, and guidance you need to own your future success.
Job Responsibilities:
• Model real-world scale 3d models of vehicles, environments, 3D objects, and textures from schematics, reference pictures, and real-world dimensions.
• Work closely with the other members of the artistic team to ensure high and consistent quality throughout the project.
• Create textures from scratch or sampled photos, scanned references, or any artwork necessary to create new objects or to match the surfaces of existing live-action footage.
• Create UV maps for light baking and texture painting.
• Model different levels of detail (model hierarchy) for real-time rendering.
• Update and enhance existing 3D models and textures in line with QA feedback.
• Participate in the Quality Assurance process
Qualifications:
• College, university, or self-taught education in 3D modeling.
• Ability to design and develop 3D objects and environments, with or without illustration.
• Experienced with the use of 3D software such as 3ds Max (preferred) or equivalent to create architectural/vehicle models, assets, and environments (game models).
• Knowledge of ZBrush / Mudbox /Substance painter/asset • Good knowledge of Photoshop is a must
• Understanding of technical constraints involved in game-ready, low-resolution modeling (an asset)
•Willingness to receive and appropriately respond to critique from the Art Lead or and others in the team.
• Good communication skills in English and French
